I'll be posting photos of each square as I complete them. (The most recent will always appear at the top of this page.)

Here are another nine squares that I've finished over the last month. Inspired by the colours.

One a month? Where did the time go? I'll need to decide what to do with all the squares soon.

It's not really one a day at the moment...one a week is still a good result. I'm doing a lot of knitting.

Since arriving home, I've picked up the crochet hook again and plan to continue until my stash is gone. Really enjoying playing with colour!

I'm going to sound old, but I vaguely remember when larger versions of these Granny Squares were used to make vests in the 70s i.e. vests with one large square at the front and another at the back, with knitted straps added. I seem to recall a couple of girls wearing these at my Primary School. Cheers from Caz :-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes Caz! I had a little suit with a crocheted skirt and vest made out of granny squares when I was about five. I remember it vividly. Difficult to wear, but great as a blanket!
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
